About Octave Cat
The music ranges from stripped-down jazz grooves to analog synth dance music. Influences such as Herbie Hancock's jazz-funk and Four Tet's electronica can be heard throughout their sound. Octave Cat pushes the boundaries of jazz and jam by incorporating elements of electronica, carving out their own unique musical space.
About Natalie Brooke
Natalie Brooke is a Baltimore-area virtuoso funk-rock keyboardist leading a powerhouse four-piece band. Fronting the group on keys, synth, keytar, and vocals, she blends high-energy funk and rock with deep jazz and classical roots, backed by Nathan Shulkin on drums, Nester on bass, and Luke Walker on guitar. The result is a fast-moving, dance-forward live show with an infectious sound once described as a mashup of Rick James and Rush.
